Sophie's specialty cakes are baked in a 9 inch wide bundt pan, but vary widely in height due to the recipe differences.
This cake, although baked in a bundt pan, much more closely resembles a torte in flavor and texture. It is made with dark cold coffee both included in the recipe, and also poured over the cake after it is baked. The result is an intensely rich, dense coffee/chocolate torte.
The making of this rich and buttery bundt begins with soaking the raisins in rum for three days. The cake is then slowly baked to give a bundt with intensely buttery texture, dotted with rum-soaked raisins. This very special cake will really impress!
